ATHLETES

This page is designed to offer detailed information about the show and to answer questions regarding the 2010 Jax Physique for competing athletes.

Eligibility: Open to athletes that reside in the Florida NPC Central District.

Mandatory Weigh-In/Registration: All athletes must weigh-in and/or register at the host hotel, The Radisson Hotel, Friday, April 2nd, 2010 between 6pm and 9pm. Bodybuilders must weigh-in wearing only their posing suits.

Mandatory Athletes Meeting: There will be a mandatory meeting for all competitors at 9:00am on Saturday, April 3rd, 2010. Athletes not attending this meeting will not be allowed to compete. Prejudging will begin promptly at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 3rd, 2010.

Bodybuilding/Fitness Music: Music should be turned in at the competitors meeting on Saturday, April 3rd, 2010. Music should be cued and ready to play - 90 seconds maximum limit for bodybuilding. Be sure and have a back-up recording. Music should be recorded on high quality CD ONLY! (Pre-recorded music is required for bodybuilders and fitness athletes only. Fitness athletes please visit http://npcnewsonline.com for up-to-date rules and regulations on routines and music.

NPC Event Registration: All competitors must be registered with the NPC to be eligible to compete in this event. NPC cards will be available at the weigh-in/registration. You can also visit http://npcnewsonline.com to print and order your NPC card by mail ahead of time. Please do so at least 6-8 weeks before the show to allow ample time for processing. NPC cards are $90.

Entry Fees: Entry fees are non-refundable. Entry fee is $50 per category and an additional $50 for crossover. Crossovers are not allowed between women’s bodybuilding, figure or bikini. Crossovers are only permitted between open and masters. Entry fee is payable by money order only and made payable to Dexter Jackson. The deadline for entry fees is Friday, March 19th, 2010. Entries postmarked after this date will be $75. Entries will not be accepted the day of the show. Entries will be accepted at the mandatory weigh-in/registration on Friday, April 2nd, 2010.

We want you to look and feel your best on stage, whether this is your first show or a “warm-up show”!  The following is about services and/or products for all your contest preparation/needs regarding the 2010 Jax Physique for competing athletes. 

Suits:
For all posing suits and bikinis, Berns (http://www.passionfruitdesigns.com) and CJ (http://www.cynthi-james.com) are both available for custom posing wear and/or custom fitness outfits and bikinis.  Please check out their websites to view their services as well as their awesome work!

Tanning:

Hair & Make-up:
Kelly McEntee is the 2010 Jax Physique official make-up artist and hairstylist.  Kelly is a national level bikini competitor herself and knows the look required for stage in both hair and make-up!  Kelly has previously worked with NPC competitors at the 2009 Nationals and is also a stylist currently at Frangipani.  To look your personal best on stage ladies, contact Kelly now to book your appointment.  Email: kel1516@hotmail.com or (504) 782-7903.  Prices are $75.00 for full make-up application and Finals touch-up, and $100.00 for hairstyle and full make-up application and Finals touch-up.  Competitor discounts are available for pre-contest salon services as well!  Make your appointment with Kelly today.

Show DVD’s & Photos:
Capture your special moment on stage at the 2010 Jax Physique.  John Hawley of www.musclepapa.com is the 2010 official videographer.    John has an extensive history of filming NPC Florida shows and packaging pre-judging and finals on DVD.  At an affordable price of $30.00 for the set, you can share your stage experience with family and friends that could not attend.  Order sheets will be available at the athlete check-in.  You can also visit www.musclepapa.com after the show to purchase the 2010 Jax Physique DVD. 

It is always nice to also have great pictures to share as well and to preserve the memory and experience.  The official photographer for the 2010 Jax Physique is Holly Gordon.  Holly Gordon is an award-winning photographer who specializes in helping people to discover the beauty of who they are.  Holly Gordon Photography provides competitors with their special moment on stage looking their best at a fair price.    Holly is also available for photo shoots pre and post contest, which is great for your portfolio!
